iDev Glossary is a stand-alone software that can be distributed to end user desktop computers. The user can open the software by starting iDevGlossary.exe.

Deployment Strategy
Deployment to end user
Each user gets and installs the business glossary package either from a website, from a central network drive or it is sent to her/him by mail. This approach is better if users are distributed in many locations and there is no central IT infrastructure. To use use this approach perform the following steps:
1. In menu Business Glossary, click button Build.
2. Specify package name (.zip file) and click button Save. Click button OK once the build process has completed.
3. Upload .zip file to website, network drive or sent it with e-mail.
4. End user can now unzip file to desktop computer and open Glossary Explorer.exe.
Deployment to shared directory
Each user gets the business glossary explorer by software distribution and the business glossary file is stored on a central network drive. This approach is better if all users can access a central IT infrastructure. To use use this approach perform the following steps:
1. Specify in Properties (General/Target Directory) the network drive location where the glossary file (*.bsgl) will be stored.
2. In menu Business Glossary, click button Build.
3. Specify package name (.zip file) and click button Save. Click button OK once the build process has completed.
4. Provide the .zip file to your IT department to build a software distribution package. The following files have to be installed:
- on the desktop computer of each user: iDevGlossary.config, iDevGlossary.exe, iDevGlossary.xsd.
- on the central network drive: glossary file (*.bsgl).
Tip: The network location and the name of the glossary file can be changed in the file iDevGlossary.config.
