Metadata Index helps to assess whether known metadata accurately describes the actual values of the data profiling object and to understand data challenges early.

Select Create Index in the Data Profiling menu. This opens the Add Metadata Index dialog.

Select one or more column(s) and click button Add Metadata Index.

This will add the metadata index to the Outline window.

Index statistic properties are showing the metadata statistic data.

Select metadata index in the Outline window and click button Rebuild Index in the Data Profiling menu.

This rebuilds the selected metadata index. The status bar will display a message once the rebuild index is done.

Select metadata index in the Outline window and click button Remove Index in the Data Profiling menu.

This removes the metadata index in the Outline window.
