Data Profile Properties

The Properties window allows you to access and edit the settings of a Data Profile. To see the properties, either click Metadata Index or Profile Object Name in the Outline Window.

Metadata Index

The following properties are available for Metadata Index:

  • General
  • Index Definition
  • Index Statistic
General (Index)

General properties allow you to see information about the metadata index.

Category NameProperty NameDescription
Index InformationIndex NameIndex Name.
Index InformationIndex TypeMetadata Index Type (Single-Dimension, Multi-Dimension).
StatusLast Statistic RunDate/time when the statistic was created.
StatusStatistic Row CountRow count of Metadata Statistic.
Index Definition

Index definition properties are showing which columns are used by the metadata index.

Index Statistic

Index statistic properties are showing the metadata statistic data.

Data Profile

The following properties are available for Data Profile:

  • General
  • Column Definition
  • Key Definition
General (Profile)

General properties allow you to see information about the profile object.

Schema InformationSchema TypeSchema Type (i.e. Table Schema).
Connection InformationSystemSystem Information.
Connection InformationData SourceData Source (Connection Name).
Object DefinitionDatabaseDatabase name of profile object.
Object DefinitionSchemaSchema name of profile object.
Object DefinitionNameName of profile object.
Object DefinitionTypeType of profile object (i.e. Table).
Object DefinitionDescriptionDescription of profile object.
Column Definition

Column definition properties allow you to specify which columns will be profiled. Once a column has been changed, click Run Profile from the Data Profiling menu to refresh the data profiling results.

Key Definition

Key Definition properties allow you to see the primary and foreign key definitions.
