Connection Explorer
Connection Explorer window allows to maintain connection settings and to connect to various data sources.
Open Connection Explorer
You display the Connection Explorer window by clicking Connection Explorer on the VIEW menu.
Add Connection
Click button Add in Connection Explorer window.
To refresh, click button Refresh Data Sources.
To define a data source, click button ODBC Data Source Administrator.
Select ODBC driver from User DSN or System DSN tab.
Specify Connection, User Name and Password for selected ODBC driver and click OK.
Note: iDev Studio only supports 32-bit ODBC Data Source Drivers.
Remove Connection
Select the Connection and click button Remove in Connection Explorer window.
A dialog appears asking you to confirm if you want to delete the Connection.
Connect to Data Source
Select the Connection and click button Connect in Connection Explorer window. You can also double-click on the Connection to perform the same action.
Disconnect from Data Source
Select the Connection and click button Disconnect in Connection Explorer window.
Export Connections
Click button Export in Connection Explorer window.
A dialog appears asking you to specify the file name. Click button Save to export all connections.
Import Connections
Click button Import in Connection Explorer window.
A dialog appears asking you to select the file name. Click button Open to import all connections.
